Well What a response - V7.31a has been a total success with this new release that went live in May 2009.

Some of our clients were slightly worried the new release would effect the daily running of the system with worries about the user interface and clients not able to get around the system with all its new enhancements

Well PDW have taken note of this as any operational changes have been minor on the client system. Most of the operational issues were in fact on the Contractor side of the system and all members of staff have been fully trained up on the changes

What a leap ahead!!

PDW have teamed up with Google earth and Google Maps to provide site by site Look up Map of the UK making it so easy to raise faults and Works Orders.

Clients can now zoom right in to view roads and locations, then simply click on the balloon and boom the fault / Works order is raised against the Location - will full Postal code look up at the clients fingertips all that's required is the part or full postal code to raise the fault / Works Order and Job Done

Complete 3 fields - Job Description, Engineers Name and the Fault Reference, Job Done

Could not be easier !!

Another Great Feature with V7.31 is the Advance Search Screen (ASS)

This was created following request from Clients to be able to update their clients with ongoing and historical faults

Well here it is - the ASS has a major search fields where the client can lookup

Post Code:

Fault Reference:

Road Name:

Column Number:

Fault Status:

Job Number:

and much, much more

All Plant have Lap tops and Net books to complete all daily maintenance and works orders (See no pens or paper)

The major advantage to this new Paperless system is the live UPDATE of Faults and Works Order straight from the site.

As the Engineer Completes any works the Contractor System is updated before the engineer leaves the location and this generates an update on the Client System showing time and date when the job / work order were completed with any notes and repairs.

There's is also a separate Module to load any Photos taken onsite (to Confirm Damage, works complete). As they say the Camera never lies !!
